Gabriella Souza

Gabriella’s work has appeared in USA Today, Popsugar, North American Review, Litro, Cleaver, Memoir Land, and the Best Small Fictions 2022 anthology, among others, and she is a regular contributor to The Rumpus interviews section. She is a 2025 Recipient of a Ruby Artist Grants, and additional honors include fellowships and scholarships from The Community of Writers, Disquiet International Literary Program, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She lives in Baltimore, where she and her husband run a Brazilian jiu jitsu school and she co-organizes the monthly Pro-Democracy Dance Protests.
